TBF Registeredd 8 Candidates for the FIBA Table Official Licensing 2026 Programme

The Basketball Federation of Turkmenistan (TBF) has officially registered eight candidates for training and licensing under the international FIBA Table Official Licensing 2026 programme, which prepares specialists for table officiating at basketball matches.
The FIBA Table Official Licensing 2026 programme trains and certifies specialists responsible for the technical running of a basketball match — keeping the scoresheet, managing game time and the 24-second clock, and working alongside the officiating crew. Successfully completing the programme confirms a specialist's qualification at a level recognised by FIBA and qualifies them to work at official competitions under the international federation's auspices.
Registering eight candidates is part of TBF's ongoing work to build a corps of internationally qualified specialists — referees, coaches and technical staff — capable of running competitions to FIBA standards. TBF continues to expand the participation of Turkmen specialists in FIBA programmes, treating this kind of training as the foundation for the growth of national basketball on the international stage.
This work follows Turkmenistan's state policy of comprehensive sports development, professional training, and the creation of modern sports infrastructure. These initiatives receive consistent support from the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as part of a policy aimed at developing both mass participation and elite sport, raising the qualifications of specialists in the field, and strengthening its infrastructure — for the wellbeing of the people.
TBF plans to announce the programme's results and the names of the newly licensed specialists once training is complete.
